The USS Hyperion has located and engaged the USS Cartwright, an Excelsior-class ship hijacked by the Children of Cartwright sect thirty years ago. Starfleet Command was last year shocked by the bold abduction of Captain Thomas Waterford by the ex-Starfleet officer, Captain Howard Mortimer.

After finishing a recent humanitarian mission, the Hyperion received a tip-off from a member of Starfleet Intelligence that the USS Cartwright had been sighted in an undisclosed sector. In what some might say constitutes a breach of orders, Captain Jim Roys ordered a pursuit course to mount a rescue mission.

Our sources reveal that the Sovereign-class ship has just engaged the older vessel, and a boarding party has been formed to rescue the Starfleet Captain. Stay tuned to hear how the rescue mission plays out!
