The Uss Avalon investigates a space anomaly in the Reefs

This is Brenda Isis reporting from Moonbase Mandukar in the Farlong Reefs Sector. Federation presence in this area of space continues to grow and with that comes the responsibility of making sure that any hazards or impediments to growth are identified and dealt with. Recently the Flag ship of the Starfleet Forces here, the USS Avalon, was dispatched to investigate a space anomaly detected near the Sancerre system. The system is the location of a soon to be established science outpost.

Galactic Rock Star Rises Again

The Farlong Reefs sector was treated to an unexpected double concert when Deimos, a galactic rock star of older fame, alighted at Starfleet’s Mandukar Moonbase. The singer and and her band were on tour when ship engine failure decided of their next stop. “You don’t stop Deimos” her PR voice declared. “Her first reaction was to ask if the moonbase would arrange for a performance. They built a new dome for it that is named after her.”

USS Stardust: when the legend is home and alive

In January 2387, all Federation media reported Starfleet's long witheld decision to declare the legendary USS Stardust an official casualty of the Cold War with the Romulan Empire. In a striking turn of events, the USS Avalon finally brought home the survivors of the lost starship.

New Avalon Class vessel about to be launched

The 6th Fleet branch of Starfleet Engineering's Research and Design Bureau has recently finished a new variant of the Olympic Class vessel which will be christened the "USS Avalon-A".

This lead ship of the new "Avalon Class" variant will be a Command Cruiser rather than the standard Medical ship. As such tactical ability has been increased, and expansion of the shuttlebay to allow a squadron of Fighters.
